SCHOOL VISITS

I love sharing the world of Chad with students and inspiring young people to tell their own stories, create their own characters, and explore their creativity.

As the creator of the Chad comic strip and its award-winning animated series adaptation, I bring students behind the scenes of creating an independent entertainment property from the page to the screen.

My school visit presentations include:

Meet the Creator: An introduction to me, my journey as a cartoonist, author, animator, and entrepreneur, and how Chad Against the World began.
From Comic to Book: A look at how a comic strip becomes a published book, including writing, drawing, editing, publishing, and building a series.
From Page to Screen: A behind-the-scenes look at how Chad became an animated series, including writing, character design, animation, voice acting, and production.
Creative Demonstration: A live drawing and/or character-design demonstration where students can follow along and create their own characters.
Student Q&A: An opportunity for students to ask questions about comics, animation, writing, publishing, creativity, and pursuing a career in the arts.
Storytelling & Creativity: Encouragement and practical advice for students interested in creating their own comics, stories, films, or other creative projects.

Presentations can be tailored for elementary, middle, or high school students, as well as visual arts, English/language arts, media, journalism, film, and creative-writing programs.

Books & Merchandise

Schools may also arrange a Chad book sale or preorder in conjunction with a visit. I am happy to sign and personalize books for students.

Schools can also inquire about bulk book packages for classrooms, libraries, or student giveaways.

2026–2027 School Visit Rates

Full Day

Includes up to four presentations/workshops.

Within Atlanta Metro: $1,250

Outside Atlanta Metro: $1,500 + travel fees

Half Day

Includes up to two presentations/workshops.

Atlanta Metro: $750

Booking

A 50% deposit is required to reserve a school visit date. Schools that operate through a purchase-order system may provide an approved purchase order in lieu of the deposit.

Dates are considered confirmed once the required deposit or approved purchase order has been received.
